Original 1884 Hawaii 1¢ Green Envelope (U1b) from the Hawaiian Kingdom period. This is the front panel with attached original back flap, featuring the classic engraved Honolulu harbor view, “I Keneta – 1884 – I Cent,” and ornate royal crest and Hawaiian flags.
This example is printed on buff cardstock, identifying it as the desirable U1b variety.
Condition:
• Strong, clear green impression
• No tears or creases
• Light natural toning appropriate for age
• Back shows an old hinge remnant and typical age wear
• Corners slightly rounded
