This is an interesting collection of 10 vintage trading stamp booklets from Blue Chip Stamps and a mix of other loyalty stamp programs. Most of the books are partially to completely filled, giving a real sense of how people used them back in the day to save up for household items, gifts, and more.

Trading stamps were a huge part of American shopping in the '50s through the '70s. You'd get stamps with your groceries, gas, or just about any purchase, then paste them into these booklets and redeem them for stuff at local catalog or redemption centers. Blue Chip was one of the biggest names, and at one point they were handing out billions of stamps a year.

What’s especially cool is the connection to Warren Buffett—Berkshire Hathaway started buying into Blue Chip Stamps in the early ‘70s that he used to buy controlling interest and finally buy complete control of See's Candy, both of which were eventually folded it into Berkshire Hathaway. So, these aren’t just nostalgic collectibles—they’re also tied to a pretty wild chapter of American business history.
