546 Star Plate Block of 4, Mint, 3 stamps NH, 1 hinged, see notes, Scott $800

A genuine example of the difficult Scott #546 coil waste plate block. This piece offers peace of mind; since fakes are produced from #492 coils, a plate block of four eliminates the possibility of it being a counterfeit. Three of the stamps are Mint Never Hinged (MNH) and the top left stamp is hinged. Condition notes include the typical straight edge at the left that you always see with these coil waste plate blocks and a small oil spot between the two top stamps. This is a great, inexpensive opportunity to acquire this challenging coil waste issue.
